Authorization as Assessment Developer at Apple

In 2018, our institute received Apple’s permission to publish our apps as an Apple Assessment Developer. Assessment developers can easily lock an iPad using the Automatic Assessment Configuration privilege without the need for device management. Thus, students can not surf the Internet during a tablet-based exam. An elaborate locking of the devices using the “guided mode” from Apple is thus eliminated. This privilege is given to developers who have designed apps specifically for use in teaching and testing and have passed the strict guidelines of Apple.
