In September our paper to the topic “Impact of COVID-19 on digital medical education: compatibility of digital teaching and examinations with integrity and ethical principles” has been published in the International Journal for Educational Integrity. This study investigated how the German-speaking medical partner faculties of the Umbrella Consortium of Assessment Network (UCAN) dealt with the challenges but also the opportunities that accompanied the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. What challenges and barriers did medical schools face? What was the impact of the transition from analogue to digital in teaching and examination? What impact did the pandemic have on ethical principles and academic integrity?
