Introduction of tablet-based exams at the Medical Faculty of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel

The aim of the Medical Faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität of Kiel is to completely convert the written (multiple choice) exams of the 2nd section of medical studies from paper-based to tablet-based. Reasons for the change are 1. application of new examination formats, e.g. key feature questions, 2. use of different media, e.g. illustrations, videos and 3. time saving during preparation and evaluation. The Faculty joined the Umbrella Consortium for Assessment Networks (UCAN) in 2017.
