Another milestone was reached in the “Examination Software” work package in April: The testing of the tablet-based examination tool tOSCE in the practical master craftsman’s examination for electrical engineers at the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Crafts was successfully completed and evaluated. The results can be found here. The collected requirements from the evaluation will now be evaluated and, if necessary, appropriate adjustments will be made.

Since May, the software has been tested at the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Skilled Crafts with two additional trades (Part I of the master craftsman’s examination in hairdressing and plastering). The team continues to accompany the individual steps of the examination process, such as entering the examination tasks, evaluation, etc., and is in close coordination with the chamber’s examination department. On the days of the examination, the team is available to answer questions remotely. In addition, the team provides support and assistance with the post-processing of the exams, such as ensuring that all data has been transferred from the devices to the exam execution server or whether all data has been stored in the evaluation tables in a complete and error-free manner.

What are the next steps in the “examination software” project module?
Step by step, the examination software is now being implemented in the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Skilled Crafts in such a way that employees will increasingly be able to work with it independently in the future.
In addition to tablet-based exams, desktop-based exams will also be tested in the coming months.
