4,000 tOSCE exams

When we started using tablet-based OSCE exams in 2012, we did not expect how much this UCAN tool would change the UCAN world. Within a very short time, faculty recognized the benefit of tablet-based delivery and tOSCE is now used by nearly every one of our partners. The saving of copy templates are only a small positive side effect. The examiners can concentrate on the essentials: Assessing the students as they perform the tasks. An OSCE is highly demanding and many people are involved on various levels: Station creators, simulation persons, examiners, organizers – by using tablets, many processes could be simplified, standardized and quality assured.

This high number of OSCE implementation shows that this tool is both easy to use and stands up to the criteria of justiciability and fail-safety.

We are very pleased that we were able to accompany the 4,000 tOSCE exam in 2022, which was also the first OSCE exam since the UCAN partnership of the Medical School Hamburg. Congratulations to Hamburg!
