Under the motto “Masterplan Medizinstudium 2020- Yes, ucan!”, the 12th UCAN Conference took place on April 25th and 26th, in 2018 in Heidelberg.

On 24.04.2018, the 3rd meeting of the Technical Taskforce took place with 16 partner faculties and institutions and a total of 22 participants.

On April 15th, 2018, a joint workshop on “Technology and Assessment” took place at the Touchstone Institute.

From 10th to 14th March, the 18th Ottawa Conference took place in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. We participated with our UCAN Team.

From 23rd to 24th November 2017, the UCAN administrators met for two productive days as part of a Technical Tasforce in Heidelberg.

In addition to the further increase in membership numbers, the IMS indicators for 2017 underline the upward trend.

From August 26th to 30th, 2017, the international conference of the Association for Medical Education, AMEE in Helsinki, Finland took place under the motto “The power to surprise”. We were there…

In November 2017, all UCAN partners will once again be able to take part in the student, competence-based progression test free of charge. The test will consist of 120 MC questions and 10 SJT questions.

On the 25th and 26th of July 2017 the first meeting of the Technical Taskforce took place. The goal of this taskforce is to jointly develop the UCAN tools and strengthen the UCAN network.

The 11th UCAN conference took place in March this year as a pre-conference of RIME in Düsseldorf. The motto of the conference was “Facing Assessments in 2020”. Nearly 70 participants exchanged views on past, current and future challenges in the field of assessments in lectures and workshops.
